Whew! It's been a while since I posted!! We have had a crazy year. Since Denim was born (4 months ago) at the end of June, we had been on 5 vacations, and Cody and I both had surgery, therefore blogging went last on my list of things to do. Now that things are starting to return to normal, I thought I would post the largest blog ever to update you on what we have been up to! Again thanks to so many of you who have helped us get through the past few months. We love and appreciate you!

Happy Birthday Britt!!!

Brittney turned 28 yesterday.  Because of the circumstances we ordered take out and chilled at home curled up in the bed watching a movie.  Britt has been a real trooper for the past year.  Being sick through the whole pregnancy and then having to have surgery and being sore since the pregnancy, I wonder how she hasn't given up.  But, that's why I love her so much.  She truly is the best wife a husband could have.  She never complains about the nights I am gone to meetings even during these hard times for her.  She continues to mother our children and help them along. I hope you had a wonderful Day Britt.  We Love you!!

SURGERY

Thank you to all those who have been concerned about where I have been lately! Unfortunately I had surgery 3 weeks ago, and the recovery has been a lot longer and crazier then I or my doctor expected. I had to have someone help me 24/7 the first two weeks, because I could not pick up my baby. Things are getting better, I am hoping another two weeks until I am fully recovered. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU, especially to my husband and mother who have helped me for countless hours. Also, thank you to many of my family, friends and ward members for watching my kids, bringing meals, and picking up Crew from school. You are my EARTHLY ANGELS!! I hope all is well with your families during this time of uncertainty. Thank you to you all!

1st Day of School

Crew has been so excited for school to start! We had a "count down to school" chart on our refrigerator that Crew loved to look at everyday. I thought I would totally be ok, but I cried. I usually am so excited for them to go places to do something different, but this was different. He was going to school with a bunch of strangers. I thought, is he going to know how to put the straw in the juice box? Is he going to remember to shut the door when he goes to the bathroom? Will he remember who his teacher is?? I know he will be fine, he'll love it, I just need to get over it!

Crew loves his Spiderman backpack. Thanks Ty and Kara!

Jersi wanted to go to kindergarten this morning too! She's going to miss her brother and playmate.

I think when we actually got to school Crew was a little overwhelmed. He was kind of quiet, I think he was trying to take it all in. I know when I go to pick him up he wont be able to tell me fast enough all the fun things he did!

So as soon as I got home my neighbor called and asked if Jersi could come play, so it's just Denim and I today. He's been waking up only once in the night since he was 5 weeks old. Now that he is 7 weeks, he's been smiling and cooing. It is so cute, it makes me melt.  We do his daily tummy time, that we call "his exercises". My kids get a kick out of it. They say, "Mom, is it time for Denim to exercise?"

Denim's Blessing and Pizza Project

We blessed Denim on Sunday, August 3rd.

We are so blessed to be surrounded by so much family. Denim had two sets of Great Grandparents there and two sets of Grandparents.

Our little family!

I had to throw in this picture since it was Crew's first picture taking experience. Our heads are cut off a little bit, but not bad!

So I've been feeling a little guilty lately about not being able to spend a ton of time with my two older kids, so we decided to do this pizza craft that I saw on another blog.

They had such a fun time with there little project. I couldn't believe how well Crew used his scissors. He's ready for kindergarten!!

Then we decided to eat pizza! YUM!!
